I got this because I hated having to watch my little puppy try and climb up the couch, and he would end up with his claws stuck in the couch and wining until someone would pick him up and help him onto the couch. Well Ozzie no longer has to climb up the couch and get stuck because now he has these awesome doggie stairs. When they come in you do have to put them together, it is very east. Just screw in a few screws and put the cover over them and watch you little furbaby have fun figuring them out and before you know it you furbaby will be climbing up these stairs onto the bed or couch before you know it. I also love the little bow that these little steps came with, I do suggest that if your dog is more than 15lbs to get a bigger set of stairs. Ozzie is about 7 lbs and these are perfect for him.
