This is a really nice product. It does make a slight noise. If you have animals in not sure that this is the product for you. I have 3 birds, 3 cats, and 3 dogs. My birds started chirping really loudly, my dogs got to barking, and my cats ran and hid. It took them about two days to do this. But before I plugged it in I had a small kitchen mouse that would run across my floor and drive my cats crazy but they never seem to catch it. And so I plugged this in and I did noticed that the mouse was missing for 2 days. Over all I do think that this works really good. I just didn't feel safe having to plugged in longer because my animals didn't like the sound it give off.
